Newcomers to Racing Day

The Newcomers to Racing Day is a low-key, small-scale event to introduce falconers to the sport of Falcon Racing.

The event will be held at Vowley Racing Farm. It will provide people with an opportunity to learn about British Falcon Racing, meet like-minded people, ask questions to racers and race winners, and get handy hints and advice about training.

This event is aimed at people who currently fly falcons but haven’t yet flown their falcons at the races. It will be a very relaxed day with a loose schedule to ensure everyone gets the time to ask questions and explore the different aspects of Falcon Racing.

Tickets are £10 and can be paid at the gate.

Can I bring my Falcon(s)?

We kindly ask people to NOT bring their birds to the Newcomers Day as this event is about learning the racing rules, training techniques, and technical know-how to be implemented at home.

Can I bring my Rocrow or Telemetry?

YES, if you are having trouble with any of the technology involved in Falcon Racing, feel free to bring it along as we will have staff onsite to help troubleshoot any issue you may be having.

We will also have examples of all of the necessary technology so you can have a go with it before committing to purchasing it.
